Criminal
Records Bureau (CRB) - The CRB - an executive agency of
the Home Office - is set up to help organisations make safer recruitment
decisions. It provides wider access to criminal record information
which helps employers in the public, private and voluntary sectors
identify candidates who may be unsuitable for certain work, especially
that involving contact with children or other vulnerable members
of society.

Department
of Health - Government department responsible for driving
forward change and modernisation in the NHS and social care, as well
as improving standards of public health. The department also develops

is the independent regulator of all health and social care services
in England. In addition, CQC protects the rights of people

nurses, midwives and health visitors provide high standards of care
to their patients and clients.
